Founder & President, Bluechips United Baseball

Josh Jones is a former professional baseball player, coach, mentor, and entrepreneur dedicated to developing young athletes both on and off the field. A native of Houston, Texas, Josh signed a professional baseball contract at just 17 years old out of Westbury High School, becoming one of the youngest players from his area to begin a professional career. His journey through professional baseball provided him with invaluable experience that now serves as the foundation of his coaching philosophy.

After his playing career, Josh transitioned his passion for the game into mentoring the next generation. In 2014, he founded Texas Bluechips Baseball Academy, which later evolved into Bluechips United, an organization built on player development, character building, academic accountability, and college placement. Under his leadership, Bluechips United has helped place more than 300 student-athletes into collegiate baseball programs, creating opportunities for young men to continue their education and athletic careers.

Josh believes that success is built through discipline, consistency, and personal growth. His philosophy extends beyond wins and losses, emphasizing life lessons that prepare athletes for challenges both on and off the field. Known for his unwavering commitment to youth development, he has earned a reputation as a coach who values relationships, integrity, and long-term success over short-term results.

His guiding principles—“Trust the Process,” “The process never changes, the standard does,” and “We chase scholarships, not trophies”—reflect his dedication to helping athletes reach their full potential. Through Bluechips United, Josh continues to provide elite instruction, exposure opportunities, and mentorship for players ranging from youth baseball to college prospects.

Beyond baseball, Josh has a passion for serving others, investing in young people, and building lasting relationships remains at the heart of everything he does. Whether on the field, in the classroom, or within the community, his mission remains the same:
